Polar law student profiled in top Indian business magazine

Kalyani Sardesai interviewed Kanagavalli, an accomplished Indian lawyer, and reported on her journey from Puducherry to Akureyri, to study Polar law. In the article, Kanagavalli explains her motivations for studying Polar law and how she hopes her education will enable her to help India navigate the fast-changing polar regions.

“Kanagavalli brings a very important South Asian and post-colonial perspective to our Polar law programme. We are delighted that she has been able to join us and hope she will not be last student from the Indian sub-continent to study with us,” said Rachael Lorna Johnstone who coordinates the Polar law programmes.
