Occupational Therapy is a diverse and fascinating field of study that appeals to those who are curious about people and communities, and the many ways in which participation, health, and well-being can be promoted. The discipline is grounded in both health sciences and social sciences and focuses on the interaction between the individual, their environment, and the occupations that give life meaning. Social justice and respect for diversity are also important cornerstones of the profession.
The programme, which is only offered at the University of Akureyri, is continuously evolving in response to the needs of society and growing knowledge in the field of occupational therapy.
