The registration fee for the academic year is 100,000 ISK.
Please note: The Icelandic government has authorised universities to introduce tuition fees for students from countries outside the EEA/EFTA and Switzerland (excluding the Faroe Islands and Greenland), effective from the Autumn semester of 2027. Tuition fees will NOT apply to students who start their studies in autumn 2026, nor to students who are currently enrolled at the University of Akureyri. Doctoral (PhD) programmes are excempt from tuition fees, as are students who hold permanent residence permits in Iceland. The tuition fee levels have not yet been determined. Please note that this information is subject to change pending final decisions by the Icelandic authorities.
After you have received confirmation of admission, payment needs to be received by 15 June.
