Dr. Purdy is an experienced digital researcher and is currently staying at the University of Akureyri as a Fulbright Specialist in Cyber-Security & Critical Infrastructure.
Abstract
The capabilities and limitations of digital forensics will be examined through the presentation of an actual case. A double homicide at an end of the school year party had very little physical evidence. Ultimately the case was solved mostly by utilizing digital forensics and resulted in the successful prosecution. The presenter, a seasoned digital forensics examiner, will walk you through the case.
