Equality Days 2026

The Creative Arts Research Center, in collaboration with CCP, the Iceland Academy of the Arts and the University of Akureyri, invites you to a conversation about the creative arts on Thursday, February 5th, from 8:30 – 10:00 AM at the CCP premises in Gróska, 3rd floor, Bjargargata 1,102 Reykjavík.

How does creative activity shape individuals and societies? Can this impact be analyzed or measured? Can measurements shed new light on the value of the creative arts in the contemporary world or open up a new perspective on their role?

These questions will be the topic of discussion at the meeting, which will consist of presentations, panel discussions and a conversation with the audience.

The moderator is Þorbjörg Daphne Hall, professor. Participants are Hlynur Jónasson, coordinator of Kúnstpása, Lara Hoffmann, postdoctoral fellow and Martyna Karolina Daniel, project manager for accessibility and social participation at the City Library.

The event will be streamed and published on Youtube and the Equality Day website on February 9th at 3 pm.

All welcome!
