Welcome to an open SEMINAR where the Handbook of Research on the Global Political Economy of Work will be introduced

This ground-breaking Handbook broadens empirical and theoretical understandings of work, work relations, and workers. It advances a global, intersectional labour studies agenda, laying the foundations for the politically emancipatory project of decolonising the political economy of work. The Handbook features theoretical and empirical contributions for understanding work across the globe. The book will be introduced by Maurizio Atzeni, one of the volume editors.

Maurizio Atzeni is Professor in the Faculty of Business at Universidad Alberto Hurtado in Chile and Researcher CEIL-CONICET in Argentina. He is a leading international expert of labour and work in the global political economy, publishing widely on theories of class and labour organising, on trade unions in South America, and, most recently, on work and workers in the digital economy.
