Christmas event for exchange students
Taste traditional Icelandic Christmas food, listen to Icelandic Christmas music, and learn about Icelandic Christmas traditions
The International Office invited the foreign exchange students at UNAK to a “jólaboð” – celebration with special traditional Christmas food in the end of November.
Here in Iceland, we have special traditional Christmas food and so the exchange student had the opportunity to taste some of it. After dinner the International Student Committee hosted a quiz with Icelandic Christmas theme.
Most of the exchange students attended the event but they are 30 this semester. The University will host 46 exchange students on spring semester 2026, which is a big increase in numbers from the year before.
