His research focuses on enhancing community participation, employment, self-determination, and supported decision-making for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Evan has extensive experience with delivering interventions in community settings.

„I am excited to be at UNAK to learn about the OT profession, OT education, and services and supports for people with disabilities. I’m also excited to develop collaborations for future research. While in Iceland, I’ll be teaching in the OT department and consulting on program development and research“, says Evan Dean.

Evan and his family have settled in Akureyri. „For my family, we are excited for our kids to experience school in a new country, make friends, and learn about Icelandic culture. My daughter has joined the swimming club and my sons have joined a handball club and are beginning to make friends. They are very excited to be here“, says Evan Dean.
