Spring Meeting of University Equality Representatives

Since 2015, university equality representatives have met at consultative meetings two to three times a year to compare notes and discuss various collaboration projects.

On April 3rd and 4th, the equality representatives of the universities gathered here in the North, where the agenda included the status of equality issues at each university, the organization and management of Equality Days, which is one of the collaborative projects of this forum, proposals for the theme of next year's Equality Days, and Ergi – the LGBTQ+ student association in Northern Iceland presented its activities. Following this, there was a discussion about the backlash against LGBTQ+ rights.

Another meeting is planned here in the North this fall, where a special workshop will be held for participants on equality issues.
