Ten Essays in Honour of John McMurtry

The Canadian imprint Northwest Passage Books has published the multi-author volume entitled Ten Essays in Honour of John McMurtry (1939-2021), edited by Professors Jeff Noonan (University of Windsor, Ontario) and Giorgio Baruchello (University of Akureyri). The volume commemorates and celebrates Canada's most original social philosopher of our century, who was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 2001 and chosen as Honorary Theme Editor for UNESCO's Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems (2003-2010). An Italian translation of the same multi-author volume is currently being prepared by Marco Saba, who translated into Italian in 2020 McMurtry's most famous book, The Cancer Stage of Capitalism (1999; 2nd. ed. 2013).
