The Scientific Day of Akureyri Hospital and the Institute of Health Science Research (SAk and UNAK) will be held on Thursday, 24 September, in Kjarni, on the 3rd floor of Akureyri Hospital, and streamed via Teams.
The event features a varied programme highlighting research, development and innovation in healthcare. Topics include paediatric sleep research, support for young people following the suicide of a friend, digital healthcare, healthcare in the Arctic, simulation-based education and palliative care.
The programme begins at 10:00, with grants and awards presented at 14:00. Following the formal programme, from 14:30 to 16:00, guests are invited to enjoy coffee and cake and learn more about Master's, specialist and doctoral studies.
