What is good University teaching?
Online Teaching Conference
The Centre of Teaching, Learning and IT is holding its yearly teaching conference for the eighth time on the 19th of April from 13:00 – 16:00. The theme of the conference is the same as it has been for the past years; What is good University teaching?
We will advertise the online setup for the conference later.
The University of Akureyri offers a variety of learning formats and ways of diverse teaching methods that are constantly evolving by academics that are developing their courses and teaching methods. This conference is an ideal platform for university teachers to come, present and discuss teaching methods and approaches and how to further develop teaching at university level.
The keynote speakers will be announced later.
Call for Abstracts
The conference layout will be a round table discussion, each speaker has ten minutes for presentation and discussion in either Icelandic or English.
We are particularly looking for:
- Hybrid teaching
- Teaching development
- Innovations in teaching or assessment
- Implementing new technology or software in teaching
The application deadline is on the 7th of April. Applicants will receive an answer by the 14th of April.
