From National Strategies to Shared Solutions – Best Practices for Sustainable Development in the Arctic

The Greenlandic Representation in Reykjavík and the Northern Research Forum at the University of Akureyri (NRF at UNAK) will jointly organize an Arctic Circle Assembly pre-event on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 in Hof, Akureyri, Iceland.

Program begins promptly at 9 am and runs until 4 pm. Doors open and onsite registration begins at 8 am.

The program will end in the early evening with a joint reception together with the Arctic Mayor’s Forum at 6 pm, at the Akureyri Art Museum.

The event is titled From National Strategies to Shared Solutions – Best Practices for Sustainable Development in the Arctic and is a Best Practices Showcase on the topics of (Subject to Change):

  • Regional Tourism, Infrastructure and Sustainable Development
  • Green Solutions for Northern Societies

The aim of the program is to bring together policy makers, researchers, business leaders, developers and innovators – working in Northern societies – to discuss how to work with national strategies and implement them at a local level.
